Volunteer State Paranormal Research

 Volunteer State Paranormal Research  Investigates  in the Middle Tennessee and Western Tennessee area. 

We are a NON-PROFIT team of Paranormal Investigators whose primary goal is to document, and hopefully someday scientifically prove the existence of ghosts. We strive to educate the public, and help those who live with hauntings helping with their fears and experiences. We use both simple and high-tech electronic equipment to document and substantiate our experiences.  We investigate Historical public places, commercial properties, and private residences, and although we are based in Burns, Tennessee, we enjoy traveling to investigate haunted sites around the country. We are a serious group of professionally-minded adults who believe that skepticism is healthy, and that all reasonable explanations should be ruled out prior to declaring an experience to be paranormal in nature.

DIRECTOR: MIKE SEARS 

Mike has had experiences of the paranormal most of his life Starting around at a very young age of 5  when he saw his first spritit/ghost and later in life Mike had a life changing paranormal experience in 1994 that got him more interested in to finding answers to the other side.( you can hear about this story on our posting of Mike on Haunt the Hunters paranormal radio show, the show was recorded and you can replay it if you like to listen to it ) In 2006 Mike joined a Paranormal investigating team in Middle Tennessee with his wife Monique  to learn the various ways of investigating and to be able to help others understand what they are experiencing and to help further his knowledge and understanding of the unknown of life after death. 

Mike has been Investigating for just  over 3 years with various Paranormal teams in the Middle Tennessee area and has investigated through out the state of Tennessee,Kentucky and parts of Alabama. Some well known haunted places like Waverly Hills Sanatorium in Louisville,Kentucky,Sloss Furnace, in Birmingham,Alabama, Octagon Hall,Franklin,KY and Many other areas of Middle Tennessee.  Mike was Nominated this year  2009 By the International Paranormal Acknowledgement Awards  for National Male Paranormal Investigator and best in Spirit Photography. 

Mike Served in the Us Air Force in the Security Police and is a Veteran of Desert Shield and Storm. Mike Moved to Middle Tennessee in 2005 with his wife Monique and their 2 children from Florida . 

Also Mike is a WWII living historian(reenactor)  and teaches history at public events across the Southeast and Volunteers as a Docent at a local Museum in Dickson,TN so he can learn more about the State of Tennessee and the local history.

Monique became interested in the paranormal as a teenager, and even more so, in her twenties when her mother passed away. 

Monique joined a paranormal team in 2006 to learn about investigating and the paranormal. She has worked with other teams in the Middle Tennessee area as well to learn various ways of investigating. She strives to inform, help people, and collect true evidence of life after death. She has investigated in KY, TN, and AL, in both private and public locations.
