Steam Inhalation Aromatherapy Cough Treatment
You can make a homemade aromatherapy steam inhalation by adding three to five drops of peppermint oil to a pan of boiling water. Drape a towel over your head and inhale the steam for five to ten minutes. Peppermint oil is high in free menthol and will soothe irritated mucous membranes and help to fight bacterial and viral infections.
Check and Neck Rub Aromatherapy Cough Treatment
Mix togethert ten drops each of rosemary, eucalyptus, thyme and camphored oil. Rub ten drops on chest and neck two to three times daily. Stop if you experience skin irritation. For a bedtime treatment, add 10 drops of lavender oil.
