You may even request a healing for someone else, but we will need permission from them for me to ethically be able to provide the healing.  If you are unable to ask for, or if the person in need of the healing is unable to communicate their permission for the healing, we can still move forward with the healing.  There are two ways in which this can be done.  I can seek permission on the etheric level.  If I cannot obtain an answer in a clear manner this way, I can send the healing with the clear intent that it be accepted by free will only. I would also add that if the person refuses the energy, it will instead go toward healing the the Earth or to somebody else who needs or wants a healing.  This is win-win for everyone!

There is nothing special you need to do to prepare for the healing.  I would send you an email after the healing has been completed, telling you the date and time of the healing so you could make not of any sensations or feelings you noted during that time, or any changes you noticed afterward. (I would love any feedback that you are willing to share, as well! You can even leave your comment at the bottom of this page if you’d like.)

The goal of healing touch is to utilize the energy reaction between the practitioner and the subject to restore balance to the subject’s energy field.   Healing touch is often called energy healing, and there are many different types.  Some examples are Reiki, Therapeutic Touch, Healing Touch, Natural Touch, Hands of Light, and others.  Many of these forms of healing may sound “New Age”  or “Quackery”  to some, but in fact they have been around since ancient times.

Primitive shamanic healers and medicine men/women used healing touch and the power of the psyche to heal all types of ailments.  These ancient healers combined the mystery of healing with the “magic” and superstitious beliefs of their particular cultures  to provide a positive outcome for all.  More of this can be learned by researching anthropological research and  fossil evidence in reference to healing.

As far as world religions in history are concerned,  references to healing with touch can be found in the Christian religion as expressed through biblical texts.  The Old Testament tells of how Elisha and Elijah were credited with being able to heal others and how Moses healed using the “power of God”.   In the New Testament there are many writings about Jesus performing healing miracles, and  also of Jesus telling his Disciples to “Go forth and heal”.  In the Islamic religion, the Old Testament stories are the same as in the Christian religion, and later Mohammed the Prophet was depicted as a healer who encouraged others to heal as well.  Hinduism is an ancient religion whose healing touch tradition is believed to be the precursor to modern Indian/Ayurvedic medicine.  Buddhism teaches that healing encompasses not only the physical body, but also the mental and emotional bodies (energy), and that all healing must first be spiritual (energy).  Also, in the Buddhist story of Prince Gautama Siddhartha, the knowledge of Healing is considered the First Enlightenment on the path to full Enlightenment.

In the world today you can also see healing touch being used in religion.  Catholics have their throats blessed by the Priest in the winter and the Church offers the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick.  (Interestingly, as of 2009, U.S. Catholic Bishops have banned the healing touch practice of Reiki from their institutions.)  The religious practice of “Laying on of Hands”, often called “Faith Healing” is currently  used and most commonly associated with Christianity.  The healing is claimed to be brought about by religious faith.  This occurs through the use of prayers and/or rituals to create divine intervention in initiating spiritual and literal healing along with the power to correct disease and disability.  This conviction of divine intervention in illness or healing is always directly related to a particular religious belief.

Years ago, healing and medicine were a blend of religion and science.  It was only within the last couple of centuries that they became separated as they are today.  As religious belief systems become more open-minded and science discovers and learns more about quantum energy, medicine and healing will soon come full circle and body, mind, and spirit will be treated and healed as one.

Svadhisthana:  The Sacral Chakra (Chakra 2 – Orange).  The Sacral Chakra is located between the belly button and the sex organs.  This chakra controls your ability to experience pleasure and regulates your sense of taste, creativity, sexuality, and sensuality.  When it is properly balanced, the Sacral Chakra helps energy flow from the lower chakras up into the higher ones.

Here we will take a closer look at each of the individual chakras and provide a bit of insight as to how they function and what you can do to help keep them in balance.

The Root Chakra (Chakra 1 – Red)

In Sanskrit, the Root Chakra is called Muldahara. It is located between the tailbone and the genitals, in an area medically termed the perineum.   It is relates to our basic physical needs — safety, security, and survival.  The Root Chakra, when functioning at optimum capacity, is the chakra that makes you feel “grounded”.  People with healthy Root Chakras feel connected to all that is around them—feel “one” with the planet, people, and all living creatures. 

Certain activities can negatively affect your Root Chakra.  Things that alter your sense of security such as financial distress, travel and illness can weaken your  Root Chakra.  If your Root Chakra is underactive you may experience low self-confidence, low self-esteem, worry, sluggishness and weight gain.  People with overactive Root Chakras are often preoccupied with money and shopping, and may be “control-freaks”.

Physical exercise is an excellent method of balancing the Root Chakra.  Some activities that naturally balance this chakra are tai-chi, walking in the woods, gardening and yoga.  These work well because they relax the mind while strengthening the body—making you strong while at the same time accepting your body’s power and wisdom.

The Sacral Chakra (Chakra 2 – Orange)

In Sanskrit, the Sacral Chakra is called Svadhisthana and means sweetness.  It is located between the belly button and the sex organs.  This chakra controls your ability to experience pleasure and regulates your sense of taste, creativity, sexuality, and sensuality.  When it is properly balanced, the Sacral Chakra helps energy flow from the lower chakras up into the higher ones.

Major life issues and belief systems can negatively affect the Sacral Chakra.  These include but are not limited to taboos, stress, and past sexual traumas.   If your Sacral Chakra is underactive, you will experience things like fear of pleasure, creative blocks and sexual disinterest.   Problems like sexual addiction and substance addiction/abuse are signs of an overactive Sacral Chakra.

Balancing the Sacral Chakra can be done by making sure you experience pleasure daily.  Creative stimulation, enjoying fine foods, healthy sex and intimacy, and dance are all excellent activities for balancing this chakra.   If one has experienced past emotional or physical trauma, therapy may needed to bring the Sacral Chakra back into full balance.

The Solar Plexus Chakra (Chakra 3 – Yellow)

In Sanskrit, the Solar Plexus Chakra is known as Manipura.  This means “lustrous gem”.  It is located between the solar plexus and the belly button.  This chakra provides energy to follow your own unique path in the world. Dynamic and charismatic people have well balanced  Solar Plexus Chakras.  If your Solar Plexus Chakra is overactive, you will be overly focused on things like wealth and power, or have issues with perfectionism.  Restorative baths, stretches and back bends will help bring an overactive Solar Plexus Chakra back into balance.  If this chakra is underactive, you will listless and passive.  This can be balanced by deep belly laughs, taking educated risks, and small acts of bravery.  Yoga poses that open up the stomach area can also help.

The Heart Chakra (Chakra 4 – Pink and Green)

In Sanskrit the Heart Chakra is called Anahata.  This chakra is located in the area of your heart and forms the center of the entire chakra system.  It forms a connection between your basic needs (lower chakras) and your spiritual desires (higher chakras).  It controls your ability to love others, and love yourself as well.

If your Heart Chakra is underactive, in your relationships you may feel like a martyr and bury your emotions for fear of rejection.  If your Heart Chakra is overactive, you may experience jealousy or try to control loved ones. 

The best way to balance your Heart Chakra is to experience love by maintaining healthy, fulfilling relationships.  Love and be loved.  Yoga poses that open the chest can also help balance this chakra.

The Throat Chakra (Chakra 5 – Blue)

In Sanskrit the Throat Chakra is called Vishuddha, which means purity.  It is located at the base of your throat and controls your ability to communicate.  This chakra is closely tied with your sense of hearing, meaning when you have a balanced Throat Chakra you will be an excellent listener as well as a wonderful speaker.   If your Throat Chakra is overactive you may have trouble concentrating when others talk.  You may also have trouble with speaking too fast or talking too much.  If your Throat Chakra is underactive, you will have difficulty communicating and won’t be able to express your thoughts, needs and desires.

Some excellent methods for balancing the Throat Chakra are maintaining purity in your lifestyle and diet, listening to music, and drinking enough water.  Yoga poses and moves that stretch the throat also help balance this chakra.

The “Third Eye” or Brow Chakra (Chakra 6 – Indigo)

In Sanskrit this chakra is known as Anja.  It is located at the center of the brow and helps you perceive life imaginatively and intuitively.  It controls how your ability to visualize and fantasize, artistic creativity and perception, your dreams, and the like.  People who are very insightful and/or are doing well in creative or therapeutic professions usually have very balanced Third Eye Chakras.   If your Third Eye Chakra is overactive, you may experience headaches, nightmares, or lack of concentration. You can balance an overactive Third Eye Chakra with yoga, meditation, and sleep.   If your Third Eye Chakra is sluggish, you may experience loss of memory, problems with your eyes, and have trouble visualizing.  You can balance an underactive Third Eye Chakra by using positive visualization, dream journaling, meditation, yoga, and hypnosis.

The Crown Chakra  (Chakra 7 – Violet, Gold and White)

In Sanskrit the Crown Chakra is called Sahasrara.  It is located at the top of the head and is a portal to spiritual enlightenment and infinite wisdom.  Great thinkers, artists, and visionaries most often have well balanced Crown Chakras.

If your Crown Chakra is overactive, you may find yourself over-intellectualizing, experience delusions of grandeur and maybe even be psychotic.  If your Crown Chakra is underactive, you may find it difficult to think for yourself, feel disconnected spiritually, or feel apathetic.

The best way to balance your Crown Chakra is through meditation.  It is also important to remember that in order for the Crown Chakra to operate at peak performance, all other chakras must be in proper alignment.

The lowest chakra, called the “root chakra”, relates to basic physical needs such as survival and security.  Moving upward through the body, the chakras correspond with more refined functions such as love, communication, psychic ability, and spirituality.

The chakras are supposed to spin in harmony and form a holistic system.  They must be balanced for you to feel your best and experience optimum energy and potential.  When any one chakra is spinning too slow, to fast, or in the wrong direction, your equilibrium is compromised and you are thrown out of balance.  This weakens your life force and can damage your health, confidence, ability, and contentment.

Crystals can be used for every component of the lifestyle, whether you are seeking to increase your luck with specific aspects of your life or to increase the circulation or general health through the body. Many people underestimate the power of crystals until the true power has been demonstrated through the positive effects that these energy-holding crystals can have.

Although there are some crystals that can provide individuals with these positive methods immediately once they have been used through a healing process, like citrine; most crystals are required to be cleansed and activated with the right energies to ensure that they can become a positive part of the healing process.

Traditionally, there are many methods that have been used to cleanse and activate the crystals. Some of the most popular traditional cleansing methods that are used to cleanse the crystal include through the use of exposure to sunlight or moonlight, or through the natural air.

The purpose of cleansing the crystals allows the negative energy to be removed from the crystals. This negative energy can become absorbed into the crystals through vibrations and therefore can interfere with the treatments that are being completed if the stones are not cleansed before using. It is recommended to cleanse the crystals at least four times per year, or at a point where the practitioner feels that the crystals are experiencing some sort of blockage that can affect the outcome of the treatments.

Cleansing the crystals removes the vibrations from the crystals using frequencies that are created through these tones. These frequencies are as close to zero as possible, ensuring that the crystals are free of the negative vibrations that they may have absorbed from the environment that they reside. These negative vibrations can come from anywhere, including past treatments and all of the elements of the earth and therefore it is essential to remove these vibrations before completing a treatment session.

The latest and cutting-edge technologies that are used to cleanse the crystals use Isochronic audio to cleanse the crystals. Using a specific set of tones that are exposed to the crystal through a traditional compact-disc player enables the practitioner to cleanse the crystals as easy as ever. Through the pure tones, which unlike music is not meant to be heard by humans, the stones and crystals can be easily cleansed.

As well as being cleansed through the Isochronic pure tones that the crystals are exposed to, a different set of tones can be used to activate these crystals to ensure that the crystals have been charged and the energies that are responsible for the various positive effects and outcomes in the body will be thriving.

There are many common crystals that can be cleansed and activated with these Isochronic methods including tiger eye, moonstone, blue agate and citrine. Each of these crystals and gems has a different composition and therefore can require different tones to be used through the cleansing process. Learning the various tones can help the user to determine which frequencies are going to create the best results for the person that is undergoing the crystal treatment.

Whether the crystals are being used for traditional crystal healing or being used in therapies that are used to align the chakras, there are a number of options that are available. Combining specific gemstones and crystals that have been activated can be an effective way to create a treatment plan with the crystals that is tailor made to the expectations of the person that is undergoing the crystal healing.

It is important to learn the best method for the practitioner when cleansing the crystals. Although there are many traditional methods that can be experimented with, the best results can be seen from the Isochronic cleansing method.

When performing energy healing, it is very important to request spiritual assistance to help with the healing process, and to protect people from any negative energies or negative entities.

For example, a negative energy might be a physical or emotional pain or trauma that is released during the healing process. If not dealt with, this negative energy might be taken in by someone else involved with the healing, or others coming into the physical space where the healing was done.

Spiritual assistance and protection can be achieved by saying an appropriate prayer just prior to the healing procedure.  Here is one I use and recommend.

A Prayer for Protection

We ask the beings of the light, the white light of love, to come and be with us to guide and protect us during this healing.

We ask that any negative entities or negative energies that are encountered be converted to positive and be returned to the universe.

For aspects of this healing we cannot do ourselves, we ask the beings of the light to assist us in doing those things and complete the healing.

We ask and intend that Universal energy be used to effect this healing and that the healer retain his/her own personal energy.

We ask and intend that all concerned be benefited from this healing in accord with God’s will.

Thank You (or Amen).

Please be cautioned that there is a final process that needs to be performed at the end of the healing session to re-seal the client’s protective shield with gold light.  This final sealing is done because the healing treatment may leave the natural seal of the individual more vulnerable to picking up negative energies and entities immediately after the treatment, than if the gold-light sealing is applied.

Chakra Colors and Chakra Meanings

VIOLET (Crown) - Personal identification with infinite.  Oneness with God.  Peace.  Wisdom.

INDIGO (Third Eye) – Indigo-clearing subconsious to channel intuition.   Purple-balanced state of mind. See Divine perfection in all things.  Devotion.

BLUE (Throat) – Ability to verbalize.  Expression truth through power of the spoken word.

GREEN (Heart) – Release emotionally suppressed trauma.  Soul/heart consciousness.  Expressing love in action.

YELLOW (Solar Plexus) – Assimilation experience. Digestion. Positive use of personal power.  Manifest goals.

ORANGE (Sacral) – Utilization of creative forces into all aspects of being.  High soul procreation. Direct self toward devotion.

RED (Base) – Grounds spirit forces in body.  Gain ability to work lovingly on the physical plane.

There are seven main energy centres (chakras) of the body. These chakras are like spirals of energy, each one relating to the others. Using the seven colours of the spectrum, Colour Therapy aims to balance and enhance our body’s energy centres/chakras and also to help stimulate our body’s own healing process. Colour Therapy uses colour to re-balance the Chakras that have become depleted of energy.

Colour therapy can be shown to help on a physical level; however there are deeper issues around the colours on the psychological and spiritual levels. Colour has a profound effect on us on all levels, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. If our energy centres become blocked or depleted, then our body cannot function properly and this, in turn, can lead to a variety of problems on any level.

Our well being is not purely a physical issue. Many more practitioners are now treating patients in a holistic manner. That is to say, we are body, mind and spirit and none of these areas function entirely alone; each has an effect upon the other. This is why Colour Therapy can be so helpful since colour addresses all levels of our being.

All life experiences have an affect upon us. Some experiences will be positive and some negative. It is these negative experiences which can manifest themselves physically over time as dis-ease. For example, perhaps over the years we have been in a situation where we have felt unable, for one reason or another, to speak our mind, or to express our needs and feelings. This can manifest as a problem in the throat chakra. The throat chakra relates in the spiritual aspect to self expression. Thus, if our self expression has been blocked, the energy in this area will not be free flowing. Working with the appropriate colour/colours can help to dispel negative feelings, free blocks and re-balance the body. Listed below is each of the spectrum colours and the chakra which it relates to.
